Plant Survival

This unit introduces kindergartners to the essential parts of plants—roots, stems, leaves, and seeds—and the important roles they play in helping plants grow and survive. Across science, math, social science, and art, students explore plants through hands-on activities that encourage close observation, creative expression, and playful problem-solving. They connect plant parts to the foods they eat, practice comparing numbers with seeds, and experiment with natural textures in clay.
